Treat Yourself Tuesday: 1/14

Today feels like a double treat to me: a fun post and the first payday of 2014!!

I’m not sure why, but payday always perks me up a bit – especially since right now I’m so focused on getting my debt paid off!!

Now I will say this post is slightly counter to the not spending and paying off debt, but really, when you see these mugs you’ll realize that 1) I’m impulsive (heh) and 2) you probably would have bought them too!

When I first saw David’s Tea post these on Instagram I fell in love.

And then I bought them 🙂

Getting them was a bit of a headache, actually, getting any mail (with the exception of bills, of course!) has been a headache lately. It seems people can’t figure out where I live.

Last time I checked my apartment building wasn’t invisible, or in a different dimension, so I’m not entirely certain why people can’t find it. Heck, I even have an awesome concierge who signs for my packages when I’m at work 🙂

I wasted no time tearing into my package, giving the mugs a quick wash (because you never know!) and making some tea to enjoy while watching The Bachelor last night.

Oh man I love this train-wreck of a show!!

Tell me: How have you treated yourself this week?

  1. Oooh I love those mugs – super fun! And I hear ya, sometimes delivery people get confused as to where I live because the door is on the left of the building, not straight ahead. Read the numbers people!

  2. Paydays are the best! My company only pays us once per month so mine are few and far between. My next one is on my birthday which means I should just blow it all on me, right? Haha – TREAT YOURSELF!

    • Love that store. Probably a bit too much 😛
I can’t remember what it’s called, but there’s a tea store near ChinaTown in vic that had the cutest tea mugs. I went there when we were there for the race in 2011. Shoot, now I want to go back 🙂

  3. I love David’s Teas and cannot wait for them to come to Southern California! I also had a mason jar like that, with the straw but broke it. I mean, all I have to do is buy a mason jar but haven’t gotten around to it yet. Don’t think the trend is ever going away!

    • Mason jars are just so cute and portable, I love them. I have a terrible habit of breaking them, though. I had two big ones I used for my water at home, but now I’m down to one because I dropped it on my tile floor. Whoops!

  4. I’ve seen Meg from A Dash of Meg’s posts about David’s tea and meant to buy some, even if shipping to Australia is uber expensive it seems worth it.

Your concierge sounds awesome! Ours is pretty good but recently I’d been waiting for a package for ages and they’d forgotten to notify us, a bit annoying but the fact that they pick up packages on our behalf makes up for it. 😀

    • Oh man, I don’t want to know how much it would be to ship to Aus. Eeps!

I love getting mail so much; I’d definitely be frustrated if I were waiting on a package and wasn’t told. Not having to be home for mail delivery is so awesome, though!
